Hey there,

my name is Christian Ludwig and I’m an artist based in Stuttgart in Germany. I’m focussing on illustration and creature design. I mainly paint animals and creatures.

I've always loved creating and making art, but as a teenager I thought either you're good at it or not. So I didn't persue the goal of learning to draw and paint.

I got a degree in economics and after quite some time working in my regular job, I resumed my goal of learning to draw. So my art journey started.

My first long time goal was to learn to draw characters in a splash art style, like character sheets in video games or on MTG cards. But on my way to achieve this, I wanted to try out as many media as I could. Nowadays I'm mainly sketching with ballpoint pen, doing urban sketching with watercolors and drawing animals & creatures with gouache and digitally.
